Walking in the Fear of the Lord
Proverbs 9:10; Psalm 111:10; Acts 9:31

The early church experienced peace while "walking in the fear of the Lord." This fear isn't terror but reverent awe combined with healthy respect for God's holiness. Fear of the Lord protects us from foolishness and guides us toward wisdom. It influences how we spend our time, manage our finances, serve others, and maintain faithfulness. This fear keeps us from casually approaching God or His Word, reminding us that our relationship with Him demands intentionality and obedience. Just as natural fear protects us from physical danger, spiritual fear safeguards our souls. When we truly fear the Lord, we prioritize His presence in our daily lives, allowing His Word to transform us rather than merely inform us.

Reflection: In what areas of your life do you need to cultivate a deeper fear of the Lord?
