Worthy of It All
Revelation 4:8-11; Romans 12:1-2
The contrast between Barnabas and Ananias ultimately points us to worship. Barnabas understood that everything belongs to God—his land, his money, his very life. He held it all with open hands, declaring through his actions, "You are worthy of it all." Ananias held back, treating his possessions as truly his own. True worship costs us something. It requires surrendering not just our Sundays but our bank accounts, our ambitions, our comfort, and our control. Paul calls this our "reasonable service"—offering ourselves as living sacrifices. God doesn't need our money, but we need to give it to break money's hold on our hearts. Today, declare over your life: "My life is Yours, Lord." Then ask: What am I still withholding from the One who gave everything for me?
